- click here to send an email of objection to the Premier of NSW, The Minister for Local Government, The Administrator of Port Macquarie Council and other relevant politicians. IMPORTANT: This is our suggested email, however please feel free to edit it as you see fit and BE SURE to type the date and your name and address at the start of the message.
As you can imagine, the residents living in the affected area are completely devastated by some of the proposals in this Coastline Study and have had their lives ripped apart. What Council and the NSW Government are proposing is immoral, unjust and affects people’s lives emotionally, socially, and economically in the most terrible way. This is NOT acceptable in Australia.
There re are 4 more simple things we ask you to do that will help us tremendously. They are also quick and easy to do. Any help is very much appreciated – however, as submissions close on 7th October 2009, we DON’T HAVE MUCH TIME.
Please help today!
- Forward the email you just opened onto everyone on your email address list and ask them to on-send it to everyone on their mailing list.
- Visit the online petition site, GoPetition at http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/save-lake-cathie.html and register your name. The more names on it the better and it will be sent to the Port Macquarie Council and the NSW Government before the submission closing date of 7th October2009
- Send a written Submission to Council. Below is a PDF file that you can download and use as a guide for your submission. Click here to download the PDF. This should only really be used as a guide as form letters are often dismissed by Councils, so please try to make your submission as original and personal as possible. Once you have completed it, please send it to the following address: Stephen Hunt PO Box 983 Port Macquarie NSW 2444 AUSTRALIA – Stephen will arrange to personally deliver all submissions to Council. We can then be sure that they are received by the appropriate staff within Council.
- To add your comments to a survey being run by Port Macquarie Council please go to: www.pmhclistening.com.au/lakecathie. You will need to register. Once registered you can vote and then make comment. It is very simple and your user name can be anything to enable your identity to be disguised if you wish.
If we don’t stop it now – it will happen to other towns and communities in
Australia – maybe where you or your family live.
